Victoria House has quite a history. Originally called Orchard Villa, the house was built in the mid 1800s. Around 1860 it was registered as a school taking both day students and "boarders". We have a list of students who we believe were in attendance at that time.

 

The property has also housed the village telephone exchange, a veterinary practice and even the local undertaker although we understand that he had a separate workshop elsewhere in the village!
